All our sustainability initiatives are in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) most relevant to our business, forming the foundation of our three key pillars: Fostering decent work and economic growth, Contributing to ending hunger, and Reducing our carbon footprint.

CREATING POSITIVE IMPACT

Our sustainability initiatives

Fostering decent work and economic growth

Under the fostering decent work and economic growth pillar, we have introduced telematics* across our operations in the region - a new tool to track and monitor rider driving patterns and ensure their safety remains at the forefront of our operations. Since telematics was implemented, we have seen a rider safety score of 94%** and a rider satisfaction rating of 4.2/5.

Additionally, we have been classified as a Great Place to Work in five countries where this certification is active, retaining 95% of high performing employees. This reflects our ability to constantly attract talent on a regional level.

Contributing to ending hunger

In our efforts to contribute to ending hunger, we have continued to build on our existing partnerships with local charities across the region. Today, we have over 45 partnerships with different charities and non-government organizations (NGOs).

Through these partnerships, we managed to facilitate over 530,000 charity donations from more than 119,000 donors for a total donation amounting to 6,389,644 Euros in 2024.

Reducing our carbon footprint

Understanding that the majority of our delivery emissions come from tailpipes and packaging, we have launched an electric vehicle (EV) roadmap, aiming to scale EV use sustainably in our region.

To tackle emissions from packaging, we constantly support our partners in finding solutions to mitigate this impact and conduct packaging surveys to identify problem areas.

We are committed to using sustainable packaging in both our kitchens and talabat marts. We are also working towards transitioning the material used in our bags from virgin plastic to 100% recycled plastic as a further step in reducing packaging waste and emissions resulting from it.
